Why can't it rain love?

If I Agreed, We'd Both Be Wrong

Desserts... I LOVE desserts. If only I could eat them all day. Unfortunately, that wouldn't be a good thing to do, now would it? And secondly, I might not enjoy them as much as I do now after eating only desserts for a couple of days. Bummer.

Seriously, I wonder why in most restaurants they prepare the most delicious main courses, but a lousy vanilla ice cream with some canned fruit and whipped cream if you are lucky. That 'sweird, ain't it? I don't believe it is so hard to prepare a proper dessert. I mean, even I could do it.

Of course, in good restaurants (probably with Michelin stars) they do have perfect desserts. As they should. I am not the most critical person in the world (sort of), but I already dislike the restaurant if the desserts are too simple (and boring). No matter how good the rest is. To me is the dessert just as important as the main course, so why discriminate it?

A few simple tips for nice desserts.
- Avoid vanilla ice cream (especially when not homemade)
- Use the internet to search for recipes.
- Make different sorts. Some people not like dairy products, others want fruits, some people like sweet desserts and others prefer some ice cream.

I'm going to end this post now, 'cause it makes me hungry. I know this post is useless and doesn't really make sense. Think of it what you want. I want to remind you that this is my opinion and that you don't necessarily need to agree with me.

How To Stop My Brain From Falling Apart

Sometimes it is so easy to forget things. To stop thinking and carry on with your ordinary life. Sorry for my lack of posting. But I needed to focus on my schoolwork, because this year I get some tests at the end of the school year about the whole book, and if you don't pay attention in the beginning, you're screwed. That's why. Still sorry. But you'll forgive me, right? That's enough about school for now.

Rain. Rain. Rain. It can't stop raining. Past month it has rained cats and dogs (that's a weird idiom, by the way). Some days seemed hopeful and sunny, but the next day was as rainy as all others before. It makes me sad (and wet). Plants seem to like the rain, but they're the only ones. Birds desperately seek a place to stay dry, people prefer to take the car, even for the short rides and cats stay inside, afraid of the rain. Still life continues as if it were an ordinary sunny day. But then with more wet people arriving at school/work.

" When it rains on your parade, you look up rather than down
After all, without the rain, there would be no rainbow "
- Gilbert K. Chesterton, writer

What about the global warming? I haven't really noticed anything. They keep saying the Earth is in danger and that the temperature will rise, but why doesn't that really influence the weather here, in the Netherlands? Not that I think the Greenhouse effect is bullshit, but sometimes I wonder whether it is really as bad and as dangerous as they say.

Bye. Oh, and before I forget: the monster says hi.
