" When the power of love Overcomes the love of power The world will know peace " - Jimi Hendrix
In the meanwhile that some others are thinking about the right words to describe the essence of peace, let us bring it into realization. You don't need to say it, just do it.
This banana speaks for itself. I don't know why it sais " Celebrating Randomness ", but I don't really care actually. Feel free to think of a reason for celebration yourself. Go wild and party the night away! Or sit on the couch and be happy. Whatever you prefer.
No. The sun is not shining at all. (well, of course it is, otherwise it would be dark right now, but you know what I mean). Too bad. Life can't always be perfect. I really liked that the past few days were sunny and had a comfortable temperature.
Here some random pictures to possiblycheer the depressed people (due to the current weather) up.
It's been a while since I posted for the last time. But, like I said, I went to England for a few days. And it was sooo great! I can't tell you the whole story and all the great things that happened, because that would take too long, and I am afraid I'll fall asleep while I'm busy typing the story. Yeah, that's right, I'm really tired.
At this moment I can't upload any pictures yet, because this computer can't do that. I'll try to do that in the coming few days. You can go to one of these blogs; they are of a couple of my friendswho also went to England with me. They'll post pictures and stories about our trip in the coming few days as well I suppose. Selma, Laura, Laurie, Yenka.
A little summary: Leave very early on Mondaymorning from Ede (NL) for Calais (FR). Then go by ferry to Dover (EN). We missed the ferry, so we needed to wait for 2 hours for the next one. Travel by bus to Oxford (EN). Tuesday: Sightseeing in Oxford and shopping. Wednesday: Visit London (EN). Go to British Museum, Harrods. And of course, go shopping. BTW, the Primark is a genious shop. Cheap clothing, shoes, sunglasses, accessories etc! On our way back in the bus to Oxford, we had a partyin the bus! That was sooo much fun! Thursday: head back to Dover to leave by ferry for Calais and then continue the journey back by bus to Ede. We got back at 10 pm. We stayed at night in host families. I was in a host family together with Laura.
Like I said before in this post, I'll post some details, funny events and pictures in the coming days.
Oh dear. We have a confusing post title. What does she want to say this time? Well, actually nothing. I just thought it was a nice sentence. Some people might call this an annoying sentence, using an idiom in such a peculiar way. I don't care. Then don't read it.
Furthermore, I am going to Oxford this week. It's a school trip. We leave at 4.45 am, Monday. Yes, you read that correctly. Great. It means getting up early, and I am an evening person - not a morning person. I won't go into further detail, 'cause it would only bore you.
This means I can't post for a few days. Afterward I'll put up loads of pictures of the trip. Then people who are possibly interested in our trip can see how it was.
Also this week another gadget. But, I have to confess that it isn't really a gadget that I have this week. It's just a very cool item I once saw. So I thought it might be nice to share this fantastic, yet scaryitem that every horror fan needs to have in his/her bathroom.
So here I introduce: The Killer Curtain and Bath Mat!
* This gadget is not appropriate for people who are easily scared (in the bathroom).
I hope you'll survive! And for the real freak are there also other scary items like the blood showergel.

A painting to think about. What do you see? What do you want to see? What image can you create with your imagination? Can you make the image move? Think about that for a while.
I have no idea if this has a positive effecton your brain, but I'm sure it can't do any harm. It's just that art is very personal, everyone can have its own opinion whether it is beautiful or not. Now you can make a pretty piece of art yourself, unless you deliberately create an ugly image in you imagination.
I only need to walk for a few minutes to get to the edge of the city I live in. Then you get to the river the Rijn. Along the river are the Uiterwaarden (floodplain). That's a beautiful place to be on a (quiet) day, especially when the sun is about to set.
I went there last week with a couple of friends, just to escape the stampede of people visiting the concerts in the shopping center. It was really nice and calming to be there.
It would be a real pity to loose this nice place. Luckily, it'll still be there 'till at least the near future. Everyone deserves to have a place like this close to their home.
" Riding through the city on my bike all day 'Cause the filth too away my license It doesn't get me down and I feel OK 'Cause the sights I'm seeing are priceless Everything seems to look as it should But I wonder what goes on behind doors A fella looking dapper But he's sittin' with a slapper Then I see it's a pimp and his crack whore
You might laugh, you might frown Walkin' 'round London town
(...)
When you look with your eyes Everything seems nice When you look twice You can see it's all lies
There was a little old lady who was walking down the road She was struggling with bags from Tesco There were people from the city havin' lunch in the park I believe that is called out fresco When a kid came along to help her a hand But before she had time to accept it Hist her over the head Doesn't care if she's dead 'Cause he's got all her jewellery and wallet" - Lily Allen, LDN
When you google pictures of a frog, you find the strangest pictures now and then. Here is an example.
Very weird... Anyway, why would I want to google a picture of a frog? Simple question, simple answer. I actually need to start with myhomework, but I don't want to do so. That means I search for randomthings in the Google-picture-search-machine. This time I searched for pictures of frogs.
This is another image I found. Just to tell you guys that:
I think I really need to do my homework now. So I will (at least, I'll pretend to start with it). Bye.

Another stupid gadget. Purely coincidentally this gadget is, just like last week, one for in the bathroom. A Potty Fisher as they call it, is a game to play when visiting the toilet. Try to catch a fish. People claim it works relaxing and it provides some fun during the boring toilet visits.
The fish swimming in the 'pond' are of course fake. So it provides fun without hurting any animals. Curious? Visit this site. !!!Please look for other sites >>>before buying this object<<< yourself, because the one I've given might not be the cheapest!!!
1. There needs to be snow. And because it is not winter anymore, but spring, you'll need to go to the mountains or a pole for natural snow. Artificial snow can't be used to make a terrorist snowman!
2. Make one large ball for the lower body. Make sure the ball has a diameter >132 cm!
3. Roll a second ball to make the upper body. This ball needs to be smaller than the 1st ball.
4. The third ball forms the head. This ball must be bigger than your own head.
5. Glue the balls together with 1 second glue.
6. Find a scarf and a hat in matching colours.
7. Some stones for the eyes and mouth. The nose is made of 2 big, twisted carrots. To large branches form the arms.
8. To make your snowman alive and evil, you'll need to go to the closest post-office. Ask for the manager, and ask the manager for the 'secret ingredient'. The codeword is: final meltdown.
9. The little packet that you got from the manager should be stapled to the inside of your snowman's hat.
10. Give the snowman weapons to your likings. This could be a hairdryer, but also an accordion.
Congratulations! You've just build yourself a terrorist snowman! Good luck with your snowman.
I do not take responsibility for any (harmful) actions done/caused by the snowman. Building a terrorist snowman in totally at your own risks and costs.
Today it the 5th of May. That's the day that the WWII officially came to an end. Right here, in the Netherlands, in Wageningen (the city where I live), was the treaty signed. They always used to make the greatest festival (with live music etc.) and defile (parade of the surviving soldiers) of the NL in Wageningen, until prince Bernhard died a few years ago. Then Den Haag (The Hague) suddenly decided to take over the defile. Since that time Wageningen hasn't got the biggest festival and audience any more.
Too bad, but this doesn't mean I'm not going to have fun! With a couple of friends am I going to walk around and mingle into the (dancing) crowd. We're going to listen to the live music, have fun together and eat lots of ice-cream. And that all because we finally achieved worldwide peace.
WRONG! There is no worldwide peace at all! But you probably already knew that. I'm not going to write about all those horrible things in the world right now. Everyone: just eat lost of ice-cream today - to celebrate that the Netherlands in not a country in war! EAT ICE FOR PEACE! Well, sort of then. It's the thought that counts.
Everyone can be lucky. No matter wherever you live, how much money you have or what you look like. You just need to be at the right place at the right time. Or take the right decisions.Or maybe go and look for luck until you are lucky enough to find it.
Conclusion: A lucky person is equal to any other person. A lucky person isn't necessarily a better person. A lucky person can loose its luck at any time. And another person might find luck at that exact same moment, even though that person never had any luck before in his/her entire life!
Have a lot of fun the rest of your life. I'll sure have a lot of fun the remainder of my life.
But not for me. Potatoes rule. There are many different potatoes and you can eat them in many different forms. Like fries, cooked potatoes or mashed potatoes.
Potatoes are easy to grow and not expensive. They are for every (ok, almost every) dinner meal a great addition. If it weren't for potatoes, I'd probably not enjoy dinner as much as I do now. Things like rice are no option for me. I don't like them.
I know, I should learn to eat more different things. The point is, nowadays we have that many things to choose from, here in the Netherlands, that you don't grow to like all of them in your childhood. Hundreds or maybe thousands of years ago, people grew up with only 3 sorts of vegetables and 1 sort of animal meat to choose from. That meant you ate it every day and you liked them (or grew to like it). But now are there too many things, the things you don't like - you won't like, because you don' eat it often.
I know, I still should learn to eat more different things, but I am just trying to say: GIMME POTATOES AND IT'LL BE JUST FINE.
And here follows a random picture of a 'couch potato'.
Enjoy your dinner. Don't pay attention to my stupidity in food.
